Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at info@crowntoground.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.

In a reflexology session with me, you’ll settle onto a comfortable massage table and simply relax. I work one foot at a time, applying gentle, precise techniques while the other foot stays warm and cozy in a towel. You’re welcome to enjoy a lavender-scented or unscented eye pillow for deeper relaxation.

Most foot reflexology sessions are 60 minutes. Facial and cranial sessions are 30 minutes, Lymphatic Drainage is 45 minutes, and I also offer longer options—including Hot Stone reflexology, combination sessions, and Menopause Reflexology.

Reflexology should not be painful, although you may experience some discomfort or sensitivity in certain areas. The pressure applied by the reflexologist should be firm but not painful, and you should communicate with your reflexologist if you experience any discomfort during the session.

The length of time it takes to see results from reflexology can vary depending on the individual and their specific health concerns. Some people may experience immediate improvements in their symptoms, while others may require several sessions before noticing any changes. It is important to be patient and consistent with your reflexology treatments in order to achieve the best results.

There’s nothing special you need to do. Wear comfortable clothing and be ready to remove your shoes and socks. For Hot Stone Reflexology, I use smooth, heated stones on the entire calf for added warmth and support.

Reflexology is generally very gentle and safe. Occasionally people notice mild tenderness, emotional release, or temporary shifts in digestion or elimination—but these are normal and usually pass quickly. You’re always welcome to let me know how you’re feeling.

Most people feel deeply relaxed, refreshed, or more energized. A great sleep afterward is very common. Staying hydrated and giving yourself a bit of extra rest can help you get the most out of your session.

That depends entirely on your goals and how you’re feeling. Some clients come weekly, others bi-weekly or monthly. We’ll chat about what you’d like to focus on and find a rhythm that works for you.

Yes. When you see RCRT on your receipt, it means I’m a Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist, certified through the Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC)—a designation recognized federally and accepted by most insurance companies.  I’m also a Certified Reflexologist with the Ontario College of Reflexologists.

No. Reflexology doesn’t diagnose or treat specific conditions. It’s a complementary therapy that supports relaxation, circulation, and overall well-being. If you have medical concerns, please connect with your healthcare provider.

Many extended health plans include reflexology. Coverage varies, so it’s a good idea to check with your insurance provider ahead of time. I provide receipts with all the proper designations required for reimbursement.
